Our founder April Stone has been training since 2012 in various nations and communities throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The ABST course is a government-required training program for individuals seeking to become security service workers in Alberta. The class is a week long class where the first three days are for going over the course material, the fourth day is for reviewing all material and the final day is testing day. Some topics covered in this course are Introduction to the security industry, The Canadian legal system and its relevance to security professionals, Basic security procedures, Communication skills for security professionals, Documentation and evidence handling, Emergency response procedures and Health and safety for security professionals. Upon successful completion of the ABST course and passing the provincial exam with a score of 80% or greater, individuals can apply for a security service worker license in Alberta.
